BURNING IN THE SUN
Daniel Praid 26-year-old charmer Daniel Dembele is equal parts West African and European, and looking to make his mark on the world. Seizing the moment at a crossroads in his life, Daniel decides to return to his homeland in Mali and start a local business building solar panels – the first of its kind in the sun drenched nation. Daniel's goal is to electrify the households of rural communities, 99% of which live without power. Taking controversial stances on climate change, poverty, and African self-sufficiency, the film explores what it means to grow up as a man, and what it takes to prosper as a nation.

Cambria Matlow In 2005, Cambria Matlow co-founded Birdgirl Productions, an independent media production company. Cambria has also worked in development and production with social issue media organization Arts Engine on the documentary feature films. As a film distributor, Cambria worked for two years with Film Movement. Cambria was a member of the Narrative Features Jury at the 2010 Florida Film Festival. Cambria holds a Certificate in Film Production from Burlington College in Vermont and a B.A. in Hispanic Studies from Columbia University. She has driven across the United States six times, lived in Spain and New Zealand, and traveled abroad extensively, including time spent in Morocco, Singapore, Central America, Mexico, and Eastern Europe.
