Thomas Cailley is a French screenwriter and film director born on 29 April 1980 in Clermont-Ferrand . He studied political science and worked in documentary production before entering the screenwriting department at La Fémis . His debut feature, Love at First Fight (2014), won three César Awards including Best First Film . In 2018, he directed the series Ad Vitam, which won Best French Series at Séries Mania . His second feature, The Animal Kingdom (2023), premiered at Cannes and won multiple Césars and the Lumière Award for Best Director.
