STRAZCA DIVOCINY KEEPER OF THE WILDERNESS
From nature's point of view, it was not so long ago that wilderness spread all across Europe. Nowadays, only the last strongholds remain untaken. One of them is the mysterious Tichá (Silent) valley in the Tatra Mountains of Northern Slovakia. Its remote ravines and magical old-growth forests are safe home to about forty brown bears, who can live here without any disturbance. Two young conservationists and filmmakers decided to portray the life of this charismatic animal - the keeper of the wilderness, and through it, show the threats faced by the last remains of European wilderness.

Robert Rajchl (b. 1975, Bratislava, Slovakia) He worked on various creative positions in major European advertising agencies, cooperating on dozens of TV commercials for international clients. He had photographed nature since his childhood, switching to wildlife filmmaking in 2007. Keeper of the Wilderness is his first professional film project. Since 2009 he is a co-owner of the independent production house Arolla Film with Erik Baláž.
