TADPOLES

"Tadpoles" is a fiction short film. Ilja is a young boy keeping tadpoles. He is afraid to encounter Anna, the girl next door. Ilja goes to the outhouse to hide from Anna. When he returns to his water bucket in the end of the day, the tadpoles have grown to adult frogs and Ilja lets them free.

 

The short film "Tadpoles" has been awarded in Vaasa Wildlife - International Nature Film Festival 2006 as Best Film in Youth Category.

Hannaleena Hauru (born 1983)

Graduated from Tampere Polytechnic School of Art and Media, Finland, in May 2007. The short film "Tadpoles" is a school project done by Hannaleena with her colleague students as part of audiovisual studies. At the moment she continues her studies in screenwriting in University of Art and Design, School of Motion Picture, Helsinki.
