Ilias Misiris

He is Greek by nationality, and lives in Vaasa (Finland). He studied electronics at the Polytechnic Institute of Piraeus (Greece), intercultural relations at the Obo Academy University of Turku (Finland), and audiovisual communication and media production in Vaasa. For the past eight years, he has been the artistic director of the Vaasa Wildlife Festival at the Terranova Nature Center of the Ostrobothnian Museum. Before that, he was the head of various EU projects in the field of education, training and culture at the Culture Department of Vaasa for five years. For the past three years, he has been a specialist in media literacy workshops for children and young people, and has also participated in the creation of various television documentaries in Finland, Greece, and recently in China. He also has experience in voice-over work, having been a practicing musician for over 30 years. For the past 16 years, he has been performing with an ethno-folk orchestra in Finland.
