SYNOPSIS
Yangtze is their latest work on Yangtze finless porpoises by Daniel and Benjamin Kim. The film is told through the eyes of a small boy who befriended a porpoise. Their journey highlights the impossible situation the porpoises have been put in by constant overfishing. This film aims to try and bring recognition to what’s happening to these harmless porpoises as without our help, they are well on their way to extinction.

Benjamin Kim and Daniel Kim are brothers that live in the bay area. They started their fight for animals when they visited the San Diego Zoo in 2013. Once there, they learned about the critically endanger species, the Northern White Rhino. They also learned about many other species that are endangered due to human recklessness. Since then, the brothers have been publishing stories about animals – A story of a 200 year old Turtle (2016), A whale who refused to poo (2017), Wind Amazed (2018), Captain Hook and Amur Leopard (2019) and A Letter from Sumatra (2020) mainly to raise awareness about animals in critical conditions.
